myec.ecuad.ca is where you pay your deposit, register for courses, check grades, view your program evaluation, enter a change of address, and find tax forms. It’s important to become familiar with the website before registration.
New to myEC? If you have not yet logged in to myEC, please refer to the information that was enclosed with your acceptance letter, as it includes all of the necessary information required to access your account.

Emily Carr Webmail
All Emily Carr students are assigned an Emily Carr Webmail email address. Please note that we will be using this email address for all communications, so it’s important that you activate it as soon as possible and check it on a regular basis.
If you have not yet activated your Emily Carr Webmail please refer to the information that was enclosed with your acceptance letter. It includes all of the necessary information required to activate your account such as where to find your User ID and password.

Please note that myEC and Emily Carr Webmail are separate accounts. They both have the same username and initially the passwords are the same but changing the password on one account does not change it on the other.
Foundation Students (Year 1)
After you have paid your deposit, Academic Advising will send a series of messages to your new Emily Carr webmail with your next steps.
These messages will include information and details on the registration process. Your fall semester schedule will include an Academic Core (6 credits), which is a blend of Art History, Visual Culture, and English Literature and Composition; your studio courses will include a Creative Processes class (3 credits), and a Core Studio class (6 credits); additionally you will be registered in the Foundation Forum which is a weekly series of lectures with topics that include art, media, design, and university program information.
Emily Carr webmail and myEC will be the central sources of all your school communications. Emails from firstname.lastname@example.org will be your primary source of all registration information.
Transfer Students (Years 2 or 3)
You will register for your fall semester courses through myEC in June. Your registration date will be based on your program and year level. The program evaluation function on myEC, listed under the Academic Planning heading, will show you all the credits required for your degree and which courses you have completed (either through transfer credit or through courses taken at Emily Carr).
In late Spring, an email will be sent to your Emily Carr Webmail with registration dates and deadlines, as well as information on an upcoming registration orientation. That email can also cue you to meet with an Advisor to plan/discuss your individual registration and program requirements.

Please note that there is no self-registration at Emily Carr University. Graduate students do not register themselves in courses; registration will be done for you prior to Orientation events. For questions regarding registration please contact email@example.com
